The Story Behind the Artwork
Bubble of Time is a personal reflection on childhood innocence, dreams and the passage of time.
As a child, I was always eager to grow up, imagining the freedom, adventures and possibilities that adulthood would bring. Little did I realise that from the moment we are born, our time begins to count.
The young girl represents my childhood self, filled with curiosity and dreams of the future. The delicate bubbles symbolise the beauty and fragility of childhood memories, while the hourglass and clock remind us that time continues to pass, even when we are unaware of it.
Through this artwork, I explore the bittersweet reality of growing up—how we spend our childhood wishing to become adults, only to sometimes long for the innocence we left behind.
Bubble of Time invites us to slow down, embrace the present and treasure life's fleeting moments.
Because while we are busy dreaming about tomorrow, today is already becoming a memory.
