A preview of the artwork that will be displayed at ATEXPO BRUXELLES 2026.

It Takes Two | Original
£1,200.00

IT TAKES TWO emerged from a place of love, affection and mutual respect, while leaving the nature of the relationship deliberately open to interpretation.

Two figures share a space while remaining distinctly individual. A red line moves between them, representing the invisible connections that can exist between people: affection, trust, understanding, tension or memory. Newspaper fragments introduce another form of communication, representing what can be spoken or written, while the red thread suggests what is often felt without words.

At its core, IT TAKES TWO explores the balance between connection and individuality, language and emotion, closeness and personal space.

The work invites viewers to bring their own experiences to the relationship between the figures and consider not only what is communicated between two people, but also what can exist quietly in the space between them.

In Between | Original
£1,200.00

IN BETWEEN emerged during a transition in my life when something I had long hoped and prayed for finally became a reality. With that new beginning came excitement, but also unexpected self-doubt and the question of whether I was truly ready for what I had received.

The changing seasons became a metaphor for this experience. A bird rests but remains ready for flight, a falling leaf signals the passing of one season, and an open hand reaches towards what is yet to come.

The work explores the space between who we have been and who we are becoming. It reflects the vulnerability of leaving behind what is familiar while learning to embrace the possibilities of a new season.

IN BETWEEN is a reminder that we do not always have to feel ready before moving forward.

Sometimes growth begins with the willingness to release, reach, and eventually take flight.

Image | Original
£1,200.00

IMAGE emerged during a period of personal change and unexpected responsibility, when I found myself confronting circumstances that deeply affected me yet remained beyond my control.

The work translates that experience through two contrasting forms. A dark, grounded figure closes her eyes and turns upward, while a vivid presence before her appears to dissolve. Their contrast reflects the tension between wanting to hold everything together and recognising the limits of what we can control.

For me, the upward gesture is rooted in faith. It represents a moment when searching for answers gave way to surrender and trust in God.

IMAGE considers surrender not as weakness, but as another form of strength: carrying what is ours to carry, releasing what is beyond us, and continuing forward even when the outcome remains uncertain.
